Liu was born in Tuquan, Inner Mongolia in 1964. He was graduated from the department of oil painting of the Beijing Central Institute of Fine Arts in 1986. He had been a teacher at the department of fine arts of the Inner Mongolia Normal University and a member of the Chinese Artists' Association. His work "Shepherdess in North Sala" joined in the Chinese Oil Painting Exhibition in 1987 and won a prize. "The White Moon over North Sala" won a bronze medal in the Seventh National Art Exhibition. In 1992 he went to Germany to continue his study. |
