Biography

Hu Wei Lun
       

  Born in 1948 in Shanghai, he graduated from Zhejiang Institute of Fine Arts (i.e. Chinese Academy of Fine Arts nowadays). He is serving as professional artist at the Art Research Center of Lishui, Zhejiang Province. He is also member of Chinese Artists’ Association, standing councilor of Zhejiang Artists’ Association and vice - chairman of Lishui Artists’ Association.

He specialized in landscape of oil painting. In his works, it is expressed the flavor being delicate and pretty, bright and clean, and tranquil and lyric, which make one indulge in reveries and find himself in the natural paradise of reality and ideal. His representative works cover the series paintings such as “Quiet Path”, “Afterglow of the Sunset” and “Grassy Hill-slope”, etc. His paintings were several times on display in national or provincial exhibitions, in which over 10 paintings were awarded prizes. There have been over 50 paintings published in art publications both at home and abroad. Over 40 paintings were exhibited in USA and were collected. In his works, it is embodied the painter’s creative spirit of seriousness and conscientiousness.
