Born in 1932, a native of Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, he
was admitted in 1949 to the National Beiping Art Institute (the present
Central Academy of Fine Arts) to learn painting, with the celebrated art
masters Xu Beihong, Dong Xiwen and Ye Qianyu as tutors. In 1953 he began
to study for master’s degree at the Central Academy of Fine Arts and
retained to work as teacher at the same school after graduation.
His several
oil paintings were collected by some museums. They include “Liu Hulan at
Her Hometown”, kept in Shanxi Museum in 1957, “Being Close as Fish and
Water”, kept in the Museum of the Chinese Revolution in 1958, and “A
Long Street of 10 Meters”, kept in the Museum of the Chinese Revolution
in 1976. Since 1981 his art works have been on display in Hong Kong,
Japan, USA and Singapore. The paintings “Chinese Rose Flower” and
“Golden Autumn Season” are kept in China Art Gallery. The painters are
expert in flower-and-plant painting. Many of his paintings are collected
by organizations and personals at home and overseas. |
