Born in 1947, a native of Beijing, he graduated from the special school of the Central Academy of Fine Arts. Now he is working as a museologist and director of the exhibition department in Beijing Museum of Natural History. After his working in the said museum, he traveled extensively to contact nature. His foot marks were all over the country, the north up to Heilongjiang, the south to the Xisha Islands, the east too the Huanghai Sea, and the west to the Pamirs. Deeply loving the scenery of nature, he also often went deep into the natural preservation areas to print from life and collect source materials. Most of his oil paintings drew their materials from nature. In his works, he adopts the realistic technique of impressionist school to convey his own feeling to nature.

The oil painting “Unfreezing” was elected to be shown at an oil painting exhibition in 1979, and “Old Tree”, shown at a small-sized oil painting exhibition. And “The Temple of Heaven” and “Small Bridge” were exhibited at Beijing Oil Painting Exhibition respectively in 1988 and 1991.
