Biography

Huang Jin Sheng

He was born in 1935, a native of Jiling Province. In 1956~1962 he studied oil painting in the Central Academy of Fine Arts with Wu Zuoren as tutor. Since his graduation, he has been teaching arts in Beijing Teachers’ College. He is now professor of the art department of the said college.

His works of painting were in the collection of China Art Gallery and Liaoning Museum, and collected by personals from America, Japan, France, Germany and

Belgium. From the beginning of 1991, as an artist, he visited the New York Municipal University of USA, and held his solo show there in 1992. He again held his individual exhibition at the New York Yifeng Art Gallery in 1993.

His oil painting “Look far into the Distance” was selected in Collected Works of China First Landscape Oil Painting Invitation Exhibition, “ The Army coming Back”, selected in the collection of books of the Chinese Revolutionary Museum, and “Autumn Scenery in Mountain Forest”, selected in A Collection of Beijing Contemporary Art Works.
