Born in 1940 in Shanghai, he graduated from the Oil Painting Department of
Zhejiang Institute of Fine Arts in 1964, successively serving as a painter
of a club and an art editor of a periodical, etc. He is now associate
professor of library science and head of the library of Zhejiang Institute
of Fine Arts. He is also member of Chinese Artists’ Association and
member of Zhejiang Oil Painting Research Society.
The work “People’s Fighter” was exhibited at a national art
exhibition in 1977, “A Bag of Solid Food”, exhibited at an art
exhibition of the whole army in 1982 and published in People’s Daily,
“Huanhua Brook”, awarded a prize at China Oil Painting Contest for
Award and collected by a club of Japan, “Song of Morning”, exhibited
at Chinese Excellent Oil Painting Exhibition held in Tokyo, Japan in 1989
and collected by the country, “Small Lane”, exhibited at China Oil
Painting Invitation Exhibition in 1988, and “Lakeside”, exhibited at
an oil painting joint exhibition of Zhejiang and Shanghai, and in the
collection of the Orient Arts Foundation of Hong Kong. |
